"Experience is the teacher of all things." - Julius Caesar
crossing the river of Rubicon paper
One time i had to make a decision if i wanted to play volleyball or basketball.
My mom and dad wanted me to play basketball, but at the same time they wanted me to play volleyball. I wasn't allowed to play both because I wouldn't have enough time. This would be my 4th year of basketball and my 3rd year of volleyball. I wasn't here for the school volleyball tryouts so i couldn't play on the school team, but i would be able to play basketball for the school. I wanted to play basketball but none of my good friends were trying out. if I played volleyball there would be a few friends on my team but not many.
I finally made the decision to play volleyball because this is only my 3rd year. Also I think better at volleyball then i am at basketball.

The Rubicon was a relatively minor waterway in northern Italy. It wasn't even very wide. It could easily be crossed on foot by Roman legionaries, slaves, generals, and whoever else might be traveling with a Roman army. But since ancient times, the Rubicon River had marked the northernmost boundary of Rome proper. Across the boundary a Roman general could not go while at the head of his army. For such a man to lead his troops in battle gear into the heart of Rome was against one of the oldest laws on the Roman law books. It was treason.
the ides of march is a day on the roman calendar that corresponds to 15 march. It was marked by several religious observances, and became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. The death of Caesar made the Ides of march a turning point on roman history, as one of the events that marked the transition from the historical period known as the roman republic to the roman empire.
